Villa by the Sea
Overlooking the sea of eastern Sicily, this villa near Syracuse was conceived as a refuge of light and material. The project involved a complete renovation of the interiors, with the aim of creating a fresh, essential space in harmony with the coastal landscape.
Architect Roberta Sortino chose a warm, neutral palette inspired by the hues of sand and local stone. Light oak, used for furnishings and coverings, establishes a dialogue with the natural materials of the original architecture.
Rope and wicker details complete the composition with a subtle nod to the Mediterranean context. A project deeply rooted in its place, evoking and reflecting its essence.
